While many stayed up to date on Hurricane Sandy through social media, several New York-based news sites, including BuzzFeed, Gawker, and the Huffington Post went dark. These sites rely on Datagram, a Manhattan-based ISP, according to BuzzFeed, which went down last night. As of this morning, BuzzFeed is relying on its Tumblr sites, the Huffington Post site is up, and Gawker and its network of blogs remain offline.
