Pizza Hut has dropped its marketing stunt that was set to take place during tonight’s town hall presidential debate at Hofstra University. After receiving criticism for mocking the election process, Pizza Hut abandoned its plans for a consumer to stand up during tonight’s town hall-style debate and ask President Obama and GOP candidate Mitt Romney if they preferred sausage or pepperoni toppings in order to win free pizzas for life (or one large pie weekly for 30 years or $15,600). Pizza Hut has now shifted the campaign to pose the question on its website and away from the debate forum.
