Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit (above) has resigned, reportedly after clashing with the company’s board over strategy and operating performance, reports The Wall Street Journal. The company announced that COO John P. Haven is also stepping down. Pandit will be replaced by Michael Corbat, who has been chief executive of Citigroup’s operations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
