Tapping into the popularity of fantasy football, MTV has launched the “Fantasy Election ’12” game inviting users to create an online dream team of political candidates. The game is part of the network’s “Power of ’12” campaign aimed at young voters. Players get points based on how well their candidates connect with voters, as well as their honesty and transparency.
And there are rewards involved - participants vie for prizes, such as cash and electronics, and one grand prize winner will win a trip to the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards along with $25,000 in cash.
