Peter Morrissey, founder of Boston-based agency Morrissey & Co., died on Aug. 3 from complications of brain cancer. He was 59.
Morrissey founded Morrissey & Co. in 1999. He was also a professor at Boston University’s College of Communication. The campus paper BU Today published a remembrance of him. In 2004, PRWeek named Morrissey one of the godfathers of modern crisis communications for his work with the crisis assignment of Tylenol tampering.
