Following our super fun faux fashion show demonstration asking Teen Vogue to pledge in the pages of their magazine never to alter models’ faces or bodies, we had a meeting with them. And sadly, it didn’t go as well as we’d hoped. But we’re not giving up!

After a campaign led by a 14-year-old girl successfully received a promise from Seventeen Magazine not to alter body shapes in its pages, more teen girls protested outside the Teen Vogue offices and staged a makeshift red carpet with signed petitions calling for the use of more real girls and to end the digital altering of bodies in its magazine. The girls are affiliated with SPARK Movement, an organization led by young activists to speak out against the sexualization of girls and promote a healthy body image.
